BENEFICIARIES
Women artists of legal age can participate according to the legislation of their country and without age limit or groups of artists who are active.
ARTISTIC DISCIPLINES
The disciplines contemplated are: painting, photography, engraving, digital art, illustration, sculpture, design objects and video art.
REQUIREMENTS
For painting, drawing, engraving, digital art, illustration and photography the works must be on unframed paper or canvas with fine frame preferably in small size and with a maximum size of 50x70 cm.
For sculpture or design objects, the maximum size will be 40x40 cm and may be of any material except glass.
For video art the duration should not exceed 5 minutes.
The works and texts must be original and with recognized authorship of the artist.

Selection of participating artists: From 7 to 10 October 2018
Communication to the selected artists: From 11 to 16 October 2018
Submission of selected works: From 29 to 31 October 2018
Exhibition period: 9 to 30 November 2018

A maximum of 10 works per artist may be submitted in JGP format with a minimum resolution per work of 1024x768 px 300 ppi and a maximum size of 1 MB.

SELECTION PROCESS
The organization of MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico will be in charge of selecting the works in the disciplines that conform to the contents expressed in article 3 of these rules. A maximum of 2 works per artist will be selected.
All the works will have to be sent without frame and they will be able to be sent in resistant envelope by postal mail. In the case of sculptures or design objects, they must be sent in resistant and reusable packaging.
In the case that the selected works do not correspond to the image sent, MECA is not obliged to exhibit them.
AUTHOR AND IMAGE RIGHTS
The artist transfers to MECA Mediterranean Art Center the rights of exhibition, diffusion and promotion of the works in any country of the world during a year, the time that will be in force ARS VISIBILIS IV. Genius, about the videos, images, names and works with which she participates in this call and that have been previously selected, without prejudice to the artist being able to use it in her own name, in any circumstance.
ACCEPTANCE
The selected works must be sent to the address indicated by email to the artists within the established deadlines, at the expense of postage or agency on behalf of the artist.
MECA cannot accept liability for damage caused to highly fragile works, but will pay all its attention and professional rigor in the care, protection and custody of them.
For the selected works MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico establishes a commission for sale of 40% on the sale price established by the artist, receiving the same 60% in case of sale. It is important to put an adequate price to the work.
By participating in this call the applicant ACCEPTS the terms and conditions of ARS VISIBILIS IV. GENIUS and expressly declares that it is in agreement with the mentioned agreement and having legal capacity to adopt it.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
A paper catalogue will be published and sent to all the selected artists at home.
Digital and paper posters will be created to promote the exhibition.
Each artist will receive a diploma of participation in ARS VISIBILIS IV. GENIUS, MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico
All the works will form part of the image of the website www.centromeca.com during the period of celebration of the event.
A promotional video of the exhibition will be created and available on the website www.centromeca.com, on the Youtube channel and on MECA's social networks on Facebook, twitter and instagram.
An online digital catalogue of the exhibition will be published, available on the website www.centromeca.com, on the Youtube channel and on MECA's social networks on Facebook, twitter and instagram.
Each participating artist will become part of the documentary REFRESH. Mujeres Artistas Siglo XXI, edited by MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico and which will also form part of the AV exhibition project.
The artists will be promoted on the website, in online press releases, in calendars of online events, portals and art magazines and in numerous national and international media. All press releases will be disseminated through social networks with direct links to the news.
MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico may select the works participating in ARS VISIBILIS IV GENIUS to take part in future collective exhibitions that it organises in different museums or exhibition spaces during 2019, both nationally and internationally, with prior notification to the artist.
An official inauguration of the event will be held in the MECA room.
OTHER
Any question that arises not contemplated in these bases will be MECA Mediterranean Artistic Center who resolves to that effect.
